First time I came here with my wife and we loved it. 5 years later we came with our kids and our kids loved it. We have been coming back every year
THE BEST campground/ experience ever! The staff and location are awesome!
since and will be there this Labor Day. We can not wait! Best of both worlds. camping and the beach. The camp site is beautifully maintained and staff is helpful and the atmosphere is wonderful.
The campground was always clean- the showers, bathrooms, the Quiet Room, campsites, the office, laundry, etc. While I was there, it was the quietest campsite ever. LOVED IT.
Nice spot. Quiet and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. It is a shame but understandable that no campfires are allowed. We just had our campfires on the beach. The bathrooms were very nice. Like most campgrounds they have many strict rules, but I can understand considering they high touristy area they are located in. We enjoyed our trip and will keep them in mind next time we are up that far.
I stayed here Tues 9/5- Fri 9/8/17 and enjoyed every moment of my stay. I spoke with three of the owners (Greg, Brandon and one's wife- I forgot her name- sorry!!), at separate times during my stay and all were super. Efficient, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for nicer people to check me in and out and answer my couple questions.
I came here a few years ago very nice place had a great time. I tried to go again but due to my work schedule I had to go up separate from family and could only stay up for two nights I own a truck and a motorcycle and it doesn't make much sense to take my truck for two day that's a huge waste of gas and space so I asked to take my motorcycle and they refused to let me bring my motorcycle even if I was to only drive it in and out once or even leave it out front by the offices so in the end I couldn't enjoy any vacation time with my family and missed out this year thanks guys. Not accommodating not understanding rude on phone and not bike friendly
I was on my way to Maine and stayed at 2 campgrounds up there and neither were that great- one was horrible and the other passable. Neither were as nice as North of Highlands. I will make plans to return here if I can in the future (it's a long way from home) but definitely recommend this location. Oh, and the location/path to the National Seashore was great. I added a few pictures to my review here.
Love it! Friendly staff and could walk or ride bikes to the beach by the ocean. Got to see seals while on vacation this summer.
If anyone gives this place a negative review, I'd have to assume that 1) it was an unfortunate instance, or 2) they ignored the safety rules and disrespected the property- which means it was their fault they ruined their own good time.
